Art Festival for Totton and Eling May 2016!

Yet another year has passed and the Totton and Eling Art Festival has come and gone. It was my only outdoor event of the year... I am not very brave when it comes to exhibiting outside, my display is not weather proof and neither am I (or at least my hair isn't). When I signed up for the first Totton and Eling Art Festival craft fair it was an indoor event, so they got me hooked and then moved it outside :-)

I have also exhibited at the two previous TE Art Fest events you can see photos and articles here:
TE Art Fest 2014   and   TE Art Fest 2015.

It was once again a very well organised event at a great venue which was decorated nicely... we loved the paper balls hanging from the trees. There were plenty of activities for children and the paddling area next to the play park was very popular in the afternoon. There were lots of stalls stocked with local art and craft products to buy, Alpacas to pet, circus equipment to play with, entertainment to watch, foods to buy, and music to listen to. It was all in all a great day out!

We arrived when most of the other gazebos were up and all the stall holders were busy setting up, so we found our pitch and got to work too making our own little jewellery heaven under a gazebo.

I had two helpers to help set up and man the stalls. I was selling my jewellery and also had an activity table for children young and old to design and make their own necklaces.

The weather looked quite cloudy and grey first thing in the morning but was in fact very warm with lots of sun throughout the day - hence the popularity of the paddling pool area. We did remember to bring tent pegs after last year's debacle so we didn't have to worry about the gazebo flying away at all this year.

Thank you to those of you who popped over to visit us, it was lovely to see you! We love meeting you.

The make-your-own necklace table proved very popular too which was exciting for us. There are a lot of talented budding jewellery designers out there and it was great fun to help them and watch their designs come together. Here are a few pictures of some of the creations:

Very creative, don't you agree?!

I hope to see you again next May for another fantastic festival of art in Totton... I'll be signing up as soon as the applications are open. :-)

Why not sign up to receive reminders for your chance to come and view the jewellery in person?

See you soon!
